LiFT 16th March
Good evening my friends,
By the time you read this I will be on my way to Cardiff for a meal out with the family. It is a combined celebration for Libby’s 27th birthday which is today, and Mothering Sunday which is always incredibly difficult to do anything special for, as a family, for obvious reasons. We’ve decided to eat Italian in The Bay, so I’m very much looking forward to that.
How are you all?
Lent marches on at a pace, and we are more than half way through. I know some of you are doing well with your various fasts or challenges and I hear some lovely stories about people meeting to discuss the lenten readings we have been sending out. Well done to you all.
Just two things to update you about – first keep your eyes open for the various local church meetings that are happening between now and the end of April. These are important as they are a chance to nominate people to the Ministry Area Council, as well as to pull together all the church activity that has happened during the last year. Plus a few other things. I hope they will be more relaxed than the previously formal Annual Vestry Meetings, but will nonetheless be productive and hopeful. It is always good to review how far we have come and to make plans for the future. All of our churches have things to celebrate!
Second – the service in Wolvesnewton on Sunday 26th March is no longer a Eucharist and will instead be Morning Prayer. Just so you know 🙂
Let’s leave it there for this week, I hope next week to be able to update you on the special services that will be happening during Holy Week, and in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to be in touch. I love to hear from you and will be happy to help with anything you think I can do.
Much love to you all, and I am praying for you.
Love Sally xxxxx
